Aleks Zavaleta is a community leader with over 25 years of experience working in non-profit sector. She is a San Francisco native who embodies the values and teachings of her grassroots upbringing. Over the last two decades, Aleks has been responsible for revamping programs, implementing streamlined systems, linking the community to resources, and, most significantly, taking an active role in saving the MLVS programs and building from closing its doors due to gentrification.
