Medical Assistant Program

At Mission Language and Vocational School, our Medical Assistant program is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the dynamic healthcare industry. This nine-month program runs from Monday to Fridays from 8am to 3pm with Fridays being on zoom. Our students will gain the Following Skills:

  • Clinical and Administrative Skills

  • Billing And Coding

  • Job Readiness Skills

  • Resume Building

  • Obtain a CPR/BLS Certification


The 9 Month Program Curriculum Consists of:

  • Medical Terminology

  • Human Anatomy/ Physiology

  • Clinical Procedures in the LAB

  • Introduction to Pharmacology

  • Medical Computer Software: Medisoft

  • 120 Hour Externship

Program Requirements

  • Proof of Identification/Legal Status (any from below)

    • California Driver License/ California ID Card

    • US Passport

    • Us Resident Card

    • US Valid Visa

    • US Work Permit

  • Social Security Card

  • High School Diploma/GED, if acquired from outside of the U.S you will need to have it translated into English and Notarized, we also accept Ability to Benefit Tests.

  • Income verification from self, parent/guardian, spouse, partner, agency (Last 3 months)

    • Agency monetary award letter

    • CalWORKS/ PAES Individual Referral including:

      • Also include release of Information Form issued from Dept. of Human Services SF

  • Participant commitments

    • externship

    • Job placement following successful completion of program
